Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong'o Confirm They're Dating With PDA-Filled Outing

After months of speculation over their relationship status, Joshua Jackson and Lupita Nyong’o held hands during a December 5 trip to the grocery store, seemingly confirming their romantic partnership.

The actors were spotted Tuesday on a PDA-filled errand run in Joshua Tree, California. For the casual outing, Nyong’o wore a white long-sleeved top that read “It’s Okay to Cry” and featured lime-green trimming, a striped green sleeve, and a black-and-white checkered sleeve. She paired the top with yellow pants, a bright green knit beanie, brown hiking boots, and circular black sunglasses. Meanwhile, Jackson stayed casual in a plain white long-sleeved shirt, caramel corduroy pants, beige sneakers, a gray ribbed knit beanie, and dark brown sunglasses.

Rumors the two were dating began after they were they were spotted attending a Janelle Monáe concert with friends in mid-October. Then, earlier this month, they were seen shopping together in Los Angeles.

On October 2, Jodie Turner-Smith had filed for divorce from Jackson after almost four years of marriage, with the legal documents citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two have one child, a girl named Juno Rose Diana Jackson, born in April 2020.

“She decided that she is done,” a source told People of Turner-Smith’s reasoning at the time. “It turned into an unhealthy marriage that made her unhappy. They will co-parent their daughter. They want her to continue to thrive.”

Meanwhile, Nyong’o was previously linked to musician and sports commentator Selema Masekela. The two went public with their relationship in December 2022. The actor later confirmed their breakup in an emotional message posted to her Instagram Story in October 2023, the same day she and Jackson attended the Janelle Monáe show.
